Why does my black berry pearl keep deleting my inbox
l have the blackberry pearl and every so often i will get a text message
and it will automatically delete it before l can read it. This is by far a
big downside of the pearl because those texts could be very important.

It is because any blackberry with os 4.2 or higher has a low
memory manager. And when it gets lower than 800kb it will auto delete your
call logs and text messages, pretty much anything it sees as unimportant.
What you should do is go in to your advanced options and into applications
and remove the blackberry sample video, it takes up 2.2 MB of space and is
completely useless. Also use a memory card. :)
This is caused by the device having a low amount (or none at
all) of memory. When the memory gets lower (lower than 12MB in some cases,
although there is not a set number) the device will start deleting messages
and/or call logs to conserve memory. You can check ur available memory by
going to Options > Status & checking the File Free parameter.
The quickest way to free up some memory is to perform a hard reset. Remove the battery from the device (while it is still powered on) for about 30 seconds, then reinsert.
